It has been a delight to have know such a wonderful person like Laurie in our lives. Laurie had been a pillar of strength for everyone in our family. We will miss you and alway be thinking of you on the beach which you loved so much.

Laurie shared the view from her lake front cottage with family and friends and never hesitated to ask if you would join them for supper. Her love of the water showed through her countless hours of swimming (amazing), boating and sharing sunsets and time with family and friends…

The Exeter Community was blessed with years of volunteer services from one of the best! From meat pies to the yearly Rummage Sale….she was there doing her part and then some… I remember walking into the United Church kitchen and seeing Laurie and fellow members hard at work preparing meat pies. It was quite the assembly line with lots of smiles and chatter.

Rest well Laurie. You did good!

Winston and family……Sorry to hear of Laurie’s passing. Laurie was a great worker in the UCW, Also, she was very happy to share her cottage and love of the lake with the UCW group. I, for one, will never forget the UCW picnic there last June. She stopped the meeting to have the group go outdoors to enjoy the sunset over the lake. I knew Laurie only a brief time through our bridge club, and found her to be a lively, interesting lady with a keen sense of humour. She brightened the day for everyone when we got together. I regret that I am unable to attend services for Laurie, but want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Sorry for your loss. She certainly put up a great fight. We had many
hard fought matches at the curling rink with and against her.

Please accept my condolences. Laurie was such a kind and vibrant inspiration. She never seemed as old as her years added up to when she was on the ice at the curling club or at a UCW meeting. She will be missed.
