Suddenly and unexpectedly, on Saturday, May 20, 2023 of Exeter, at the age of 66. Cherished companion of Linda Wilkinson of Lucan. Fondly remembered by Linda’s children; Tammy and Jeremy Langendyk, Jenn Feltz (Wayne), and Rick Feltz. Loved “Gare Bear” of Alyssa, and Owen Langendyk, and the late Brody (2022), and Mckyla Feltz. Loved and forever missed by Lee and Sandra Desjardine and their children Jason and the late Brian (2005) – Gerb’s Godson. Predeceased by his parents Gerben “Gary” and Tjaaktje “Jackie” Land.
Words of Remembrance will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Saturday, May 27th at 2 PM, with a celebration of Gerb’s life to follow. Please dress casually. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Crohn’s and Colitis Canada would be appreciated by the family.

We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Je zal wel denken wie is dit.
Nou dit is een berichtje uit Nederland.
Mijn zoon zag de advertentie en stuurde hem naar mij.
Bij deze nog gecondoleerd met het overlijden van Gary wij wisten het niet.
Gary was een neef van ons hij is hier 2x in Nederland geweest en ik kende hem wel.
Jammer dat hij zo vroeg is overleden.
Ik ben wel eens op zoek geweest naar hem maar kon hem niet vinden.
Zijn Tante in Sauwerd is op 18 september dit jaar overleden.
Nou ik hoop dat dit over komt en wil hier dus bij laten weten dat wij de Familie Land niet waren vergeten.

Gary was one of the first people to welcome my boys & I into our neighbourhood about 12 years ago. I enjoyed hearing stories of his younger years and about his parents. He in turn enjoyed hearing how the boys were doing at school & hockey. He gave my oldest son his first job cutting his grass & from there the torch was passed to my youngest son. My youngest son had some good conversations with Gary this past month & came running home a couple of weeks ago so excited because Gary had given him a $5 raise. We will miss Gary so much. I am very sorry for your loss yet so very happy that he found you when he did. He had such a big heart & it warms my heart knowing he had someone to share it with.

Linda and family, so sorry for your loss. It was just in March that Gerb had sent me condolences on the loss of my husband Cam. He said they use to go riding together when they were young. I met Gerb years ago and the first thing I notice was his laugh which I would call a giggle. It just made you want to make him laugh more. I haven’t seen him in years but that wouldn’t of matter because you would just start talking like you seen him yesterday and wait for the laugh.
My heart aches for you and your family and even though I have just gone through this I don’t really have any words of advise other then you will find a reason to get out of bed each morning then tell yourself you got this. Stay strong
