Passed away surrounded by his wife and daughter at LHSC – University Hospital on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in his 86th year. Cherished and loving husband of Peary (McLean) Laithwaite for over 60 years. Proud dad of Steve and Niki Laithwaite, Tammy Rinneard, and Robbie and April Laithwaite. Adored Guppy of Trent (Kia), Madison (John), Troy, Braedon, and Brooklynn and great-guppy of Harlow, Lennon, Frankie, and Layton. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Ed and Pauline Laithwaite, George Laithwaite (Bonnie), Kim and Angela McLean, and M.J. Chanyi. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Clayton and Madeline Laithwaite and his brothers-in-law Ron, and John.

Arn was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Yankee’s fan. He loved catching every game on TV while enjoying a cold beer. He was proud of his career with Scotiabank for over 35 years.

Keeping with Arn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
