At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, July 29, 2009, Geertje “Greta” (Leffring) Kuik, formerly of London, Hensall and Aylmer, passed away in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Dirk Kuik (1998). Dear mother of John and Leda Kuik of Dungannan, Bob Kuik of Windsor, Anne and John Tasker of Cambridge, Freda and Roy Anger of Warkworth and Betty Kuik of Paris. Loved by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Martje and Klaas Haaisma. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Sietze and Antje Leffring, sons Klaas and Steven, son-in-law Rev Henry Annen, daughter-in-law Helen Kuik, grandson Jeffrey Annen, great great-grandson William Blackmore, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 1, 2009 in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich at 1:00 p.m. with visiting 1 hour prior to service time. Pastor Robert Heintz officiating. Interment Hensall Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
