Peacefully, at Jessica’s House, Exeter on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 of Zurich, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Klopp (2016). Dear mother of Diane Klopp, Paul and Heather Klopp all of Zurich, Linda and Bob Earle of London, Douglas Klopp of Zurich and Martha Klopp and Lloyd Hughes of Pickering. Loving grandmother of T.J. and Jocelyn Klopp, Andrew and Shannon Earle, Heidi Klopp and her fiancé Adam Blanchard and Jennifer and Sam Maclin. Very proud great-grandmother of William and Gavin Earle and Brinley and Carson Klopp. Special grandma to Natalie DePaepe. She will be sadly missed by her several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Orval and Irene (Schilbe) McClinchey and sister and brother-in-law Doreen and Glenn Webb.
Donna, over the many years, was involved with the Lutheran Church Woman, Blue Water Rest Home Auxiliary, Zurich Agricultural Society, Zurich Optimist, Blyth Thrashers Association, Huron Country Playhouse, Lutheran Youth Group, and volunteer driver for Adult Daycare. She and Herb wintered in Victoria, B.C. for almost 20 years and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and spending time with their friends out west. Donna Joyce was a typical Stanley Township girl who did all expected of a woman raised on the Goshen; spring in the sugar bush, and feeding the hungry thrashers in the fall; from quilting, decorating a wedding cake to driving a tractor in the field; she turned her hand to anything as was expected by a country daughter, wife, and mother. She brought all of this to Hay Township when she married Herb and raised 5 children who they inspired to live every moment to the fullest and the importance of family. She championed us all and there was no better person in your corner than Donna Joyce. She will be missed.
Friends may call at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street, N., ZURICH, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The memorial service will be held at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 23 Goshen Street, S., Zurich on Friday, April 26th at 11 AM. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Donations to the Jessica’s House or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

To my best friend Martha, I want you to know that I loved spending time with your mom, she always had the most interesting stories to share. My favourites involved your primary school bus driver and your skating coach. One of my favourite memories was when your mom volunteered to help me wrap all the kids’ Christmas presents despite the fact that we both disliked wrapping gifts and yet, we had so much fun that afternoon! Your mom was a ball of fire and fury and she certainly knew how to get things done. Your mom had stamina, passion and perseverance and these qualities enabled her to help so many people throughout her lifetime. I am glad you had such a great mom.
There is some comfort to be taken in the fact that she will no longer have to be in pain, but I will definitely miss her powerful presence.

She was a very nice woman. Her home was always welcoming and after every visit I always gave her my best bear hug when we parted. I think she usually groaned a bit or said oh dear when the hug was about to take place though she didn’t shirk. She was made of good stock and gave as good as she got. I will miss her laugh and her frankness especially. One of the last things I heard her say was “There isn’t a day I’m glad I didn’t live and not a day I’d like to live over again. I guess my only wish in life is that other people would see beyond the end of their nose and not be envious.
