Every once in a while, the death of a stalwart amongst us, causes us to stop and reflect on what impact a person can have on us, and our community, when they’ve lived out their lives with purpose and destiny. We can all agree that Francis, having passed through life with us, has enriched our lives, and made our community a better place. We all confer together in saying, “oh yes, Francis was here!…..she made a difference”

Sadly we have lost another special member of our S.H. Hospital Spring Rummage Sale Organizing Team – too young, at the same age & almost 5 years to the day since Pat.
As Frances was involved in her community & her family, there will be a huge emptiness felt by many that share in your sorrow. May you find comfort in your many precious memories and may the loving support of family & friends ease the profound sadness in your hearts.
Her warm smile, friendly & caring nature will be greatly missed. I’m blessed to have volunteered alongside her for the past 15 years.
My sympathy to Frank & family.
Linda Russell, Spring Rummage Sale Convener

Frances- a true gem of a friend and blood relative of the Johns clan right from childhood days: picnics, birthdays, cottage days, Sunday School, Young Peoples’, 4-H clubs etc. etc. and into our adult years with our, “Circle of Friends.” Nothing ever seemed to frazzle Frances. A smile was always present. Frances met life challenges with an obvious calmness which continued to her final days. Our caring thoughts are with everyone at this very difficult time.

Dear Frank and Family and Ed –
We were so very sorry to hear your dear wife and mom had passed away. The grand children are going to miss their Gramma supporting them at their sports and competitions. We have great memories of Frances playing cards and a big smile when we beat the guys. We will always remember the fun times in Florida and cherish the times we spent together. Take care of each other at this sad time. Frances will be missed by many family and friends. Sincere sympathy to the entire family.

Francis was a gift that graced us all. She was a tireless worker with minor hockey , both her and Frank made minor hockey work for so many families. Her qualities were admired by everyone that knew her , we hope everyone will have fond memories that comfort them. To Frank and family we express our sorrow.
