After a hard fought battle with a brief illness, on Friday April 26th 2019 at LHSC-Victoria Hospital in his 67th year. Dear husband of Shirley Kerslake. Beloved father to Elizabeth and Jeff Patterson, and Michael and Cassandra Kerslake. Proud grandfather to Hayden, Ethan and Aveleigh Kerslake. He will also be missed by his brother Edwin Kerslake and Joy, and sisters Joyce Fulton and Larry, Joan Skinner and Dale, Donna Tinney and Dwayne, and Lori Kerslake and Bill, and sister in law Marilyn Vandenbussche and Rick. Dear son in law of Mary Brintnell. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their spouses, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Shirley Kerslake and father in law Jack Brintnell. Donnie was a farmer all his life, raising beef cattle for many years, then slowing down a bit to cash crop. He enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter, weekends at The Old Homestead during camping season, and was his grandchildren’s biggest fan!
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donnie’s funeral service will be held at the South Huron Recreation Centre, 94 Victoria Street, East on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:30 AM. Interment Exeter Cemetery at a later date.
Please leave your formal wear at home
and attend both the visitation and funeral in your casual attire.
For those who wish, donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation or LHSF – Critical Care would be appreciated by the family.
