KENNEY: Joseph “Joe” of Lucan

Unexpectedly at his home after a long battle with cancer, on Thursday, March 9, 2023 of Lucan at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Wanetta (Stonefish) Kenney. Proud father of Wanda Kenney and Dave Beirling. Dear brother of Doris Kirk. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Florence Kenney, grandson Joshua Joseph Kenney, and his siblings Bill and Wilma Kenney, Rena and Earl Thompson, Doug and Florence Kenney, Wally and Bonnie Kenney, Eva and Gerald Tyler, Russell Kirk, and Mary and Silvano Massa.

Joe was a proud member of Caldwell First Nations. He enjoyed a game of euchre, shooting a game of pool, or hanging out watching tv. Joe was proud that he lived in Lucan the bulk of his life and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Monday evening from 5 – 7 PM. Registration is appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below, to register.

Joe’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 14th at 11 AM. Cremation to follow with interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

    wonderful memories of such a friend with one and only soft voice smile still thinking of your gang of fellow scrapers coming in from zubicks the shock of he telling of the chain saw cut great moments with wally and the ol’ Chicago great and lasting respect between each of us where did the time go rest forever in peace don’t forget we that will follow behind you we won’t you God speed.

    Wanda, Dave and Joe’s family.
    Sending my deepest sympathy to all. Joe was a kind and quiet soul. We travelled many a day picking up vehicles or delivering. Joe was always kind and considerate, there when ever we needed him.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
