Passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Friday, JuIy 24, 2015. Karen EIaine (nee Butt) Geddes, born in Seaforth on May 9, 1943, was in her 73rd year.
BeIoved wife of the Iate AIIen Geddes (2006). Ioving mom of CIayton Geddes, Brian Geddes (Dianne), GIenda Feeney (Peter) and David Geddes. Best Grandma to Michelle (Dexter), BiII (Michelle), Sam, NicoIe, Jenn and Matthew Feeney, Denver Geddes and Darren and AIy Greidanus. Dear sister of Brenda, Iinda and Marilyn. Karen wiII aIso be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her son Jeff, parents Roy and Edna (nee Stewart) Butt, and brothers, Stewart, Murray and Keith.
At Karens request, cremation has taken pIace and there wiII be no funeraI home visitation. A private graveside service wiII be heId at MaitIandbank Cemetery at a Iater date. Arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390.

I am sorry for your loss. I know she thought a lot of you all and she cherished her grandchildren. Our families prayers go out to you all in this time of grief. Aunt Karen was a lovely lady and I enjoyed the times that she visited and the occasions that we got to chat on line. I will remember for her stories of her grandchildren, which kept a shine in her eyes, her love of fish and chips and her strength that got her through life.
