Peacefully on March 21, 2021 with her loved ones by her side, Marilyn was called home to Jesus after a courageous three-year battle with Cancer. Marilyn was born in Windsor, Ontario on August 8, 1944. She was of Ilderton and formerly of London in her 77th year. She will be greatly missed by her husband and loving partner of 36 years Henk Kampers. Daughters, Kirsten (Ben) Gabriel of Blue Mountains, Sue (David) Schram of London and Debbie Kampers of Ilderton. By her three grandchildren who called her Oma, Hudson, Jaimason, and Garrett. Nephews and niece. Survived by her brother Greg Leushner of Montreal. Predeceased by her parents Jeanette and Delbert Leushner, and sister Shelley Leushner.
Marilyn followed in her father’s footsteps as a cub scout leader for many years and took great pride in her achievements. She worked alongside Henk as an office manager for A1 Plumbing and Heating Ltd, in London ON for over 30 years.
Marilyn had loving memories of her summer family cottage located on Harris Lake in Parry Sound district. She spent her last summer there with family, finding solace and comfort. This was her favourite place to be. A lifetime of memories were created there and cherished by all. Marilyn also loved summers relaxing on the family boat “Triton 1”. She enjoyed being in her rocker while reading and knitting. Missed her predeceased pets Courtney and Mugsy dearly.
Thank-you to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers from the Ilderton Medical Clinic, LHSC (Cancer Clinic), St. Joe’s, SGH Hospital, VON, CCAC and LHIN for your committed medical efforts to help Marilyn, Henk Kampers and family.
