My condolences to Liz and the entire Jenkin family. Gord you will be missed by the many friends you had in the aviation community. Gord was a true professional who had our backs and never stopped working until the last screw was secured in the panel. One of my all time favorite memories of Gord was coming off a 12 hour night shift. As I was leaving work, Gord handed me a bag and said this will help you sleep when you get home. I opened the bag and it was a nice cold beer. Rest in Peace Gord !

Condolence from Bob Miles and Nancy Hutt on January 17th, 2018 4:49 PM

Elizabeth and Family:
Nancy and I were very sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. I was extremely lucky to work with Gord supporting aircraft operations in Canada, Gabon, Kenya, Rwanda and Japan. He was always a trusted, dependable, hardworking partner and the laughter, stories and good cheer he brought to whatever we were doing made the work easier and the sun shine brighter. Gord had his priorities straight however and while work could be enjoyable, it was always very clear that his family came before all else.
Gord, your joyful soul and gentle spirit brought a lot of happiness to those whose lives you touched. Rest in peace, my friend.

Liz and family, my condolences on Gord’s passing. I was mostly a helicopter guy, with a short stint at Air Ontario and with the dash 8 fleet out of Centralia. I was always happy to see Gord when he was in… could not imagine a better guy to work with. His positive attitude and hilarious storys when we were doing a particularly nasty job have never been forgotten. It’s been years since I’ve seen Gord, but remember working with him like it was yesterday. Definately a sad day.

Condolence from Ryan Van de Laar on January 18th, 2018 1:22 PM

Condolence from Steve and Jenny Jones on January 18th, 2018 1:23 PM

Dear Liz and family

Words seem inadequate in moments like these, what we will say though is that our hearts go out to you. Gord was a great person with a laugh that would instantly make you smile and that was heard up and down the street. We have so many fond memories of our time spent with your family. The garage was a popular spot to watch nascar, enjoy some good natured ribbing and to tip back a cold one. Gordie, we are privileged to have known you.

Dear Liz and Family
It is with deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that we say good bye to a man that has been so much to many. When my Dad pass away, we where working at Purple Hill Air and Gord came to the funeral and helped me after that. I had a blast working with him there, I learned from him and probably give him a few laughs along the way. One time we worked on the twin Apache rebuilding the dash. Great times. He was lots of laughs and great enjoyment weather it was down stairs in the cave or out and the garage (man cave) watching racing having a drink. Or just shooting the sh…. I sure will miss him
RIP Gord
