Suddenly, at his residence, RR #3 Granton on Saturday, December 29, 2012, in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Ryan) Brintnell. Dear father of Jim and Julia Brintnell of Exeter, Ron and Leanne Brintnell of Calgary, Rob and Sandi Brintnell of Brinsley, and Dan and Deb Brintnell of Oakville. Dear grandfather of Ryan, Lee and Amber, Jordan and Chelsea; Troy, Jared and Erin; Robyn and Jeff, and Tyler; Thomas, Steven, Michael and Abby; and great-grandfather of Bentley. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bev and Marg Brintnell of Exeter, Margaret Curtis of London, Helen Ryan of Crediton and Shirley and Ron Rose of Mitchell. Predeceased by his parents James and Lois (Simpson) Brintnell, a brother Ivan Simpson, a sister-in-law Clara Ducharme and brothers-in-law Bud Ryan, James Ducharme and Len Curtis.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 3rd at 11AM with Father Dariusz Lewandowski presiding. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I was saddened and shocked when I got the call about Russ passing. When we retire we always say we will get together and we mean it but we all think we have all the time in the world and now it is too late. I worked with Russ for many years in London and at the Bruce. As you know we had our own extended family at the Bruce and Russ names it the BUDS system. Russ was always the guy willing to lend a helping hand and it was a pleasure to be around him. I am proud to call him my Buds. He was always welcome at Xanadu cottage. I am devastated not to be able to be back in London for the funeral or visitation but my thoughts are with you and your family in your time of sorrow.

Mary and family, so sorry to hear of Russ’ passing. He was a very friendly neighbour and always smiling. He came through for the Ryan family on many occasions. I will remember you in my prayers.
