At the Exeter Villa, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 of Exeter, at the age of 103. Beloved husband of the late Florence (Malcolm) Hyde (2005). Dear father of Norman and Maxine Hyde of Huron Park, Jim and Leona Hyde of London, Fred and Catherine Hyde of Navan, and Margaret Hyde of London. Dear grandfather of Ted and Gretchen, Alan; Brent and Emily, Shena and great-grandfather of Calum. Predeceased by his sister Violet Vier.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street West of Main) on Friday, August 29th from 4-8 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 11 AM with Dorothy Henderson, formerly minister at Caven Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment Hensall Union Cemetery.
Donations to the Exeter Villa – Memorial Fund, Caven Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Marg, Norm, Maxine and families…so sorry to hear about Harvey. We shared many stories over the years of his life on the farm and his garden. He was a true gentleman and cared very deeply for his family…thoughts are with you.

Harvey will be missed, not only by his family but by all of the people whose lives he touched throughout his life. It is with sadness that I read of Harvey’s passing. Yet , I envy his longevity as my own parents have passed away years ago. You must treasure the many good memories that you have of him. I remember with fondness my visit to the farm and the welcome extended to me by Harvey his wife and his children.
My condolences go out to the family, but especially to Margaret whom I met once or twice only and to my friend Fred.
I hope that you will contact me again, Margie.

Condolences from my whole family. I know that Carlene will miss her special birthday visits with Harvey and I will miss his many stories of his time spent growing up down from the Arthur homestead in Anderson. He was such an awesome man!
