Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his residence on Thursday, May 31, 2012, life time farmer of Biddulph Township, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Joan Mary Ann (Regier) Dietrich for 60 years. Dear father of Paula and Bill Rosser of Bayfield, Frank and Dianne Dietrich of Lucan, Mary and Craig Corman of Denfield, Christine and Felix Gysemans of Ilderton, Jane and Steve Shields of Peterborough and Hugh and Krista Dietrich of Lucan. Dear grandfather of Darryl and Valerie, Laura and Danny, Stacey and Rodger, David and Christa; Scott and Paul; Sarah, Lindsay and Colin, Mark and Leanne; Kyle and Sue, Katlin and Greg; Madison, Dawson, Carter; Eric, Grant and Jake; and great-grandfather of Camden and Audrey; Ashton and Carter; Nolan and Drew; Aiden, Olivia and Lauren; Grayson; and Taylor. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sister Rita of Chatham, Martina Glavin of Parkhill, Stephen and Josephine Dietrich of Dashwood, Mary Dietrich of London, Paul and Kathy Regier of London, Sheila and Don Masse of Tilbury, Mary and Joe Koricina of Exeter, Joe and Bonnie Regier of Dashwood, Angela and Chuck Balazs of Brantford and Ann and Mike Croft of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Noah and Christina (Foster) Dietrich by brothers Ben, Eugene and Louis, his sister Mary, Sister Dominica (Anna), sisters-in-law Mary Dietrich and Helene Regier, brothers-in-law John, Gerald and Bill Regier and Joe Glavin.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2:30 – 4:30 PM and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Lucan on Monday, June 4th at 11 AM with Father Dariusz Lewandowski presiding. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Prayers will be said in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
