Peacefully at Huron Hospice, Clinton on January 13, 2024 of Seaforth and formerly of Zurich at the age of 69. Beloved father of Melanie Holmes of St.Marys, Amy Upshall of Clinton, Becky Richardson (Dani) of Stratford, Jeremy Holmes (Lisa) of Montreal, and Bradley Holmes (Vanessa) of Zurich. Grandfather of Natasha, Joshua, and Jasmine; Jessica, Ashley, Dakotta, and Ryker; Dezmond, Kali, Avery, and Brodie; Asher; and Brooklyn, Ben, and Nathan. Dear great-grandfather of six. Dear brother of Cindy Van Dyke of Calgary and Linda Keenan (George Westerik) of London. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Grace and Doug Holmes and brother-in-law Stewart Van Dyke.
Following John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Haskett Funeral Home, SEAFORTH entrusted with arrangements.
