Peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, London on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, of London and formerly of Lucan, at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Pat Holland for 35 years. Dear mother of Aaron and Heather Holland of St. Thomas, and Jenni Holland and Christie Tilley of London. Dear grandmother of Makayla, Scarlett; Owen, Mathew, Dylan, and Naomi. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ron and Barb Densmore of Ailsa Craig, Dean and Jackie Densmore of London, Gwen Hall of Strathroy, Brian and Maria Densmore of London; Marg and Dave Craig of Kelowna, Rob and Alicia Holland of Winnipeg, Ken and Marie Holland of Lucan, and Kathy and Bill Lovie of London. Loving aunt of her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Nancy Ruddy, granddaughter Kennedy, brother-in-law John Holland and his wife Heather. Rita’s family sends a special thank you to Dr. Victoria Soo, Dr. Eric Frechette, to the London Regional Cancer Program, and Dr. Michael Sanatani and his wonderful Nurse Julie for their exceptional care.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at 11 AM. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London would be appreciated by the family.
