The hardest of goodbyes, full of love and grace, on June 11, 2023 at the age of 75, Christine passed away at Jessica’s House surrounded by her family. Christine leaves a husband of 56 years Wes, daughters Deborah (late Mike 2018) Hayter of Exeter, Kelly (John) Rooney of Grand Bend, Angela (Joe) Ansems of Bluewater, Jennifer (Chris) Mayhew of Drumbo, and son Jason Hodgson (Bonnie) of London. Proud grandmother of 12 beautiful grandchildren Megan, Evan, and Ally (Cody); Sara (Justin), and Dylan; Jackson, and Madison; Avery, and Emma; Ethan, Austin, and Aiden. Christine also survived by sister Elsie (Cliff) McDonald, brothers Harry (Sharon) Kingma, Sam (Marie) Kingma and sister-in-law Susan Murch (Tom) and brother-in-law Paul (Shirley) Hodgson, and sister-in-law Karen (Les) O’Neill. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and extended Kingma family. Christine is reunited with parents John (1996) and Tina (1982) Kingma, brother Johnny (1974), and mother-in-law and father-in-law Jack (2015) and Marion (2008) Hodgson.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Christine’s memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 15th at 1PM with a reception to follow. Cremation with private interment in Ebenezer Cemetery, North Middlesex.
Donations to Jessica’s House or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
