Peacefully, at Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig on Monday, April 18, 2016 formerly of Lucan in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Smith) Hodgins for 68 years. Dear father of Lois and Larry Jones of Crediton, Brian and Elaine Hodgins of Exeter and Barry and Kelly Hodgins of Lucan. Dear grandfather of Douglas and Janet; Michael and Kendra, and Marc; Ashley and Jeff, Latoya and Grant, Brett and Dawson; and 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and missed by Margaret Smith and her families. Predeceased by his parents Labannah and Olivia Hodgins, his father and mother-in-law Clarence and Edna Smith, and a brother-in-law Leonard Smith and his wife Doreen Smith.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 11AM with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating.
Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to Lucan Biddulph Firefighters, South Huron Hospital Foundation or Villages United Church would be appreciated by the family.
