After a brief but fiercely fought battle with cancer Glenn peacefully passed on January 26, 2020 of RR#2 Crediton in his 68th year. Companion to Peggy Snell. Predeceased by wife of 25 years Grace Hodgins (2016). Father of Scott Hodgins of Hensall, Dennis & Taryn Hodgins of Edmonton, Michelle and Elliott MacDonald of Lucknow, Kristy Barnes and Ken Savage of Sarnia and Step-father of Shanna & Brian Barnim of Bayfield and Shelley and Dave Bryson of Exeter. Loved grandfather of Kylie, Ethan, Blake, Karaleena and Careese, Spencer, Koedi, Kurtis and Chelsea. Brother of Mary Hodgins of Ailsa Craig, June and Gerry Glavin of Centralia, and Mona & Dwayne Ritchie of Parkhill. Predeceased by an infant sister Lenore and his parents Harvey and Lois Hodgins. Glenn enjoyed farming beside his father for over 5 decades, spending 16 winters with his friends at Pioneer RV park in North Ft. Myers, FL and strumming and humming to so many friends across Southern Ontario. Glenn served community on Gay Lea Foods board of directors, Huron County Holstein Club, Dashwood Men’s association, the Exeter and Hensall Legion and Crediton United Church. The only thing Glenn liked more than telling stories and playing cards was playing his guitar and singing for anyone and everyone who would listen.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Interment St. Mary’s Brinsley Anglican Cemetery, Brinsley. A reception will be held at the Exeter Legion from 1-4 PM. Please feel free to bring your instruments and join in the music celebration to honour Glenn.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation, Hensall Legion or the amazing team at Jessica’s House.

Hi Glenn. What a pain to learn of your death last Monday, when you were in the prime of your life. You seemed in great shape. The whole community here in Pioneer Village is in shock.
On the musical side, your absence was already felt since the beginning of the season. A music session at Tiki without your presence was no longer the same. His soul was missing.
To mark your visit with us, our music session this Wednesday was entirely dedicated to you and your memory.
Continue to watch over us and observe us from above until the day of the celestial reunion when disease no longer exists, and eternity is acquired.

I fondly remember calling the cows in for milking, driving the grain truck, and listening to Glenn play his guitar. I always admired his work ethic and will miss his warm smile.

It was an honour for me to play music at Grace’s memorial service and feel bad that we are not able to make Glen’s. He certainly loved his music and he got up and performed songs with our band and danced to our music many times over the years. He was a good friend to many musicians. There is now another singer for heaven’s band.

Dear Family: We convey our sincere sympathy in the loss of Glenn. He was a most delightful entertainer at many of the Shriner Fish Frys held here in the area as well as other functions. Glenn was most accommodating at playing favourites when asked and we could that he enjoyed playing as much as we appreciated listening to his singing and playing of guitar. Everyone felt badly when his wife Grace, of 25 years passed away in 2016. Glenn will be missed by many in days to come.
