Peacefully with her family by her side after a short stay at University Hospital in London our mother Barbara Jean (Dyson) Hearn passed away on Friday March 31, 2023 at the age of 86.
Beloved wife of the late Edward Leroy Hearn (2006). Survived by her children Mary and John Becker of Dashwood, Bryan Hearn of Exeter, Mark and Lillian of Corbett and Kari Hearn and Bill Gratton of Wallaceburg. Adored Grandmother of 16 and Great Grandmother of 14. Loving sister of Heather and Fred Sweeney of Burlington. Predeceased by her son Blair (1998) and grandson Lucas (2023).
Barbara was always remembered for working decades with the Holtzman grocery family business and a long-time member of over 53 years of the Women’s Auxiliary Branch # 167. She had many passions and loved the legion events, tournaments, a great game of cards, auctions, bingo, and fishing.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home on Thursday, April 6th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where the memorial service will be held at 11 AM. A luncheon to follow at the Exeter Legion. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Women’s Auxiliary Branch #167 would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
