I’ll never forget how accepting and loving my Aunt Margaret was.
She shared so many wonderful stories of my Dad (her brother Ed who passed away in 1949), stories that I will always cherish. Our visits were always special and Dave, my Mom and I always looked forward to seeing her. We will miss her bright eyes and warm smile.
Rest in peace Aunt Margaret and God bless.
You will always remain in our hearts and memories.
    Love Barb and Dave

Vaughan, Brian and Families….my deepest condolences on the loss of your Mother, my Aunt. I have many fond memories of times I spent with your Mom, who was like my second mother dating back to the years in Granton. A trip to Sudbury with your Dad, Mom, Diane and you Vaughan, as a baby, when your Dad worked for Vessot in the 1950’s. Summer vacations with your Mom and Dad for me and my brothers and sisters to give our own parents a rest. Truly a second home. Backyard skating in Bryanston on the rink your Dad built along with the hot chocolate your Mom kept us warm with…And who can forget the time spent at the cottage at Port Franks where your Mom was host to us and our friends on many summer Sunday afternoons.

    Fondly remembered ….Dennis

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Memories of Margaret at Bryanston Church playing the piano and her brother Bert playing the organ for the Sunday services. My children both were in the junior choir when she was the choir leader. Margaret and her Bryanston friends always enjoyed bowling when Don owned the bowling lanes.

To Vaughn & Brian and families:
My sincere sympathy to you at this sad time. I remember Margaret
going back many years when her family was very small and she
would bring them to Bryanston W.I. That was when it was held in

    January 17, 2014 at 10:14 AM

    Brian, Vaughan and families:

A great loss for the Gidley family, your Mom, my Aunt, who always treated myself and brothers and sisters like a part of her family.
We all shared great fun with your family during the ‘cottage years’ at Port Franks. It seems like only yesterday, when Diane, Pat and myself would spend a summer week at the cottage, walking the beach and enjoying marshmellow roasts by a campfire, which Uncle Cliff would get going for us after dark. Those were the days of innocent fun.
Christmas’ with our two families was always special. Your Mom made certain that everyone received a present, much to our delight. Monies were tight, so we treasured these gifts.
As her namesake, I will always hold a special place in my heart for my ‘great’ Aunt Margaret.

Loved and Cherished forever…Marnie and Ron
