At LHSC – Victoria Hospital, London on October 12, 2024 of Exeter and formerly of Hensall and Zurich in his 73rd year. Husband of Barbara (Templeman) Hartman. Cherished father of Brad Hartman (Tanya), Christy Smith (Josh), Terry Hartman, John Hartman, Larry Keyes (Laylin). Proud grandfather of Claire, Ben; Westley, Sadie. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Theresa Egan, Gary Hartman (Karen Garrow), Anne Hartman, Carolyn Sweiger, Charlene Overholt (Mike), Mark Hartman (Tracy), and Patty Shipway (Tommy McNall). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and the Templeman family. Ron will be missed by his many neighbours and close friends of Norwood Village. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Irene (Girard) Hartman, and a brother Eugene Hartman.
Ron was a dedicated millwright and diligent hard worker. His best memories came from working in the fields and growing up on the farm with his many siblings. He was known to be the teaser in the family, especially when it came to his sisters. He took great pride in being “chairside coach” for his beloved sports teams the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held in the near future. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
