HARTMAN: P. Jasia (Adamkiewicz) of Zurich

October 28, 2024 By Haskett Funeral Homes 130 Condolences

HARTMAN: P. Jasia (Adamkiewicz) of Zurich

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jasia Hartman (Adamkiewicz) on Thursday, October 24, 2024. A kind, humble, generous, and gentle soul, Jasia was dedicated to her marriage vocation and directed all her love towards her Faith, her family, her home, and her church community; a true example of self-sacrifice and following the Cross.

Beloved wife of 39 years, she will be greatly missed and cherished by her husband Tom. Together, they loved the country life where they farmed and raised their family near Zurich.

Devoted mother to 9 children, Claire (Jesse) May, Julianne (Evan) Kondra, Daniel (Megan), Luke (Bridget), Timothy (Mary-Beth), Anthony (Lillian), Veronica, Annamarie, and Dominic. Loving grandmother to 20 grandchildren, James, Christopher, Helen, Lucy, Dean, Gregory, Ruth, Rosemary, Jerome, Vincent, Alexander, Louis, Tyler, Emily, Abigail, Amanda, Martha, Sebastian, Rebecca (†2023), and Gordon.

Survived by her mother-in-law Janice Hartman, siblings and in-laws Mary (Paul) Zepf, Andrzej Adamkiewicz, Maureen (Gary) Fisher, Francis (Doreen) Hartman, Steve (Marg) Hartman, Paul (Jane) Hartman, Anthony (Monique) Hartman, Denis (Danielle) Hartman, Cathy (Marshall) Chanda, Margy (Mark) Wardell, Anne (Steve) Harburn, Matt (Lisa) Hartman, Mary (Jared) Cantin, Jane (James) Webster, and John (Tara) Hartman.

Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Patricia, brothers Anthony and Christopher, father-in-law Raymond, brother-in-law Gregory, sister-in-law Ann, and her grand-daughter Rebecca.

Visitation will be held Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM

A Requiem Mass will be offered at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (SSPX), 236 Hastings Street, PARKHILL on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery on Bronson Line, Zurich.

Any donations can be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy in New Hamburg, ON, or the Society of St. Pius X-ON.

We are grateful for the generosity of prayers for Jasia, Tom, and the family.

    October 28, 2024 at 5:34 PM

    Dear Tom,

We looked back to the Holy Mass for the day on October 24 to find God’s words to give you comfort. The Alleluia for the Holy Mass on the day of Jasia’s passing was “I will sing praise to Thee in the sight of the angels, I will worship towards Thy holy temple, and I will give glory to Thy name, O Lord.” This is fitting for Jasia. In life, she lived out this Alleluia; she lived her life singing praises to God, worshipping Him, and giving glory to His name. We have the hope that, through the grace of God, she is continuing to do so after her death. Tom, you and Jasia have both lived your lives as friends of Jesus. We pray that these were the words that greeted Jasia as she passed: Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

~Euge serve bone et fidelis, quia supra pauca fuisti fidelis, supra multa te constituam. Intra in gaudium Domini tui.~

With our love and prayers at this time of sorrow,
    Margy and Mark
