This has been a very busy and crowded week for both Pat and I, and today is Keira’s 7th. birthday, and with the split family, we can only see her when their is time in the parents busy schedule. I know that he has been through many years of difficulties with alchol, but I always found Tom to be a great guy to talk to and we enjoyed each other’s company. In grade one I met a boy and his name was Tom. At times during the next twenty-some years we played piano duets, hockey, went to the horse races, worked on the farm, and told lots of stories. Tom had more good qualities than you find in most people. He was smart, honest, funny, and compassionate. He understood people and knew how to make them feel good. The thing I admired most about him was that he never said anything bad about anyone. Tom, thanks for the good things you shared with me–and others. I’m sure whatever you’re doing today will generate that big smile!

Dear Wendy, Melissa and Kurt:

I am so shocked and sorry to hear, just today from my daughter Chloe, of Tom’s passing. Had I known, I would certainly have been there at the funeral.

I remember playing hockey with Tom in the Lucan Men’s Rec. League Sunday morning hockey league, and playing guitars with him one night in our old house in Lucan.I can still hear that country accent !
