Peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Friday, October 1, 2021 of Lucan, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Hubert “Toby” Grimminck, together for over 60 years. Cherished mother of Frances Lalonde and John Blakemore, Jennifer and Dan Soulard, Monica and Marius Vandenberg, Thomas and Anna-Marie Grimminck, and Angela and Paul Roach. Proud grandma of Christine, Patrick, Jillian, Maria, Joseph, David, Gregory, Simon, Benjamin, Christopher, Tina, Lucas, Eric, Michaela, Grace, Hanna, Nate, and Toby and great-grandma of Ivy, Zachary, Aubrey, and one on the way. Betsy was a dear sister and sister-in-law of many and a much loved aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Keeping with Betsy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family funeral mass will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan (519-227-4211).
Donations to London Area Right to Life Association would be appreciated by the family.
Toby and family, John and I are saddened to hear the sad news. We have many fond memories of the years growing up on Hwy 23 spending quality time as cousins. We know she will be missed by her large extended family and friends. Our prayers and thoughts are with all her family,

I am so saddened to learn of Betsy’s passing. She was a beautiful soul and always made me feel like I was part of the Damen family. Her smile was infectious as was her welcoming nature.

So sorry to hear of Betsy’s passing. I knew her in recent years from VON exercises in Lucan. She always had a big smile. As we were walking at the beginning of the class we often chatted before we got down to working and listening to the instructor. I know from those chats that she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
