Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the age of 82. Loving and beloved husband of Jean (Duncan) Gray for 58 years. Cherished dad of Stephen Gray. Dear brother of Jane O’Connor and brother-in-law of Marilyn Alger, Kathy and Robert Morlock and Heather Duncan. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Malcolm and Nola (Buckingham) Gray, parents in-law, Frances (Sommerford) and Alister Duncan, brothers-in-law Alister Duncan, Jim Heffernan, Robert “Bobby” Duncan and Robert Alger and sister-in-law Teresa “Pat” Heffernan.
Cremation has taken place. A private, graveside service will be held at Littlewood Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Sprucedale Care Centre and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for their care of Jim.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

I remember Jim as a soft-spoken, very friendly man who always had a smile and a person who had time for everyone.

My condolences to you Jean and Stephen and the rest of the family on the passing of a wonderful man. I always remember travelling with Jim to optimist bingos in London.

Jim and Jean were wonderful neighbours “on the other side of the fence” when we all lived on Finch Crescent in London. We enjoyed our visits to Ilderton shortly after they moved. Jean, my sincerest condolences to you. You were an incredible caring and loving wife to Jim.
