Grace Richardson Munnings was a teacher at Sakeji and my teacher for grade 1 or 2. Such a sweet lady. I saw her quite a few times after she was back in Canada and married to Fred.
She asked me to call her Grace. But after calling her Mrs. Richardson for so long I found it didn&&single&&t seem respectful enough :)
She used to always remembered who I was. But after Fred passed away, I wrote her a letter and she didn&&single&&t know who I was or anything about me.

So very sorry for your loss of such a sweet heart. And so sorry I live to far away to attend the funeral. But thankful my father, Don, can be there to represent the family.

I had Mrs Richardson as a teacher as well as a piano teacher. I enjoyed seeng her since she was married. It brought me so much joy to know the Lord blessed her later years of life with a man who loved her dearly. She had such a joyful glow when she was with Mr Munnings :).

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭
So many great memories of dear Mrs Richardson (grade 2+) despite my running away my first day & class with her while she was praying with the class at boarding school! Fondly remember her firm patience (rare qualities indeed). Sunday evening hymn sings standing around the piano as she played and sang “I&&single&&ll fly away, oh glory, I&&single&&ll fly away in the morning when I die hallelujah by and by, I&&single&&ll fly away!” top my list of memories! So glad her heart song has come true – Hallelujah! She walked faithfully and has flown home to the One she loved and served so well! Thank you Jesus

I worked with Grace in Zambia. We shared the same house for 25 years. Grace had a great sense of humour and she saw the positives rather than the negatives. She enjoyed her teaching and over the years she taught many different age groups, though her preference was with the younger ones. Her real love was to get out into the villages to visit the widows. Despite language limitations, she faithfully took a village Sunday School and reading class. She was remembered with affection by the Zambians, and by many Sakeji students too.I have prayed daily for Grace during her time of frailty. I rejoice that she is now with her Lord and Saviour. One of her favourite hymns was “O the deep, deep love of Jesus” May you know God&&single&&s peace. Hazel Andrews.

Love and greetings to all Grace Richardson Munnings families from Kalene, Zambia.
We knew Grace best as Mrs. Richardson as she taught our three sons at Sakeji School. One holiday our family climbed Kalene Hill sleeping the night under the stars with Grace and Joan Hoyte. Often in the term breaks Grace would come for a visit to our home. The children at Sakeji were always amazed at the length of her hair if they ever saw her with it down. She not only taught grade 2 but also swimming and piano and looked much younger than her years when she retired.
On furlough we would take a day out to visit Grace when she lived with her sister Margaret Savage and later after she married Mr. Munnings. Grace, who was the driver, and Fred traveled to visit my Mother who lived east of Cambridge once or twice a year. They enjoyed each other’s companionship, both loved to talk about Zambia and Fred would read and pray. My Mother, Marjorie Holtzhauer, will be 99 June 1 she also sends her condolences.
When Grace and Fred lived in Seaforth, and we were travelling that way, we would stop for a short visit. We recall her smile and chuckle. With the Hope she had in the Lord Jesus and His resurrection we too look forward to being together once more.
