    John and Family
We were surprised and saddened to hear Marlene had passed. She worked with our team at The Garlic Box for many years and brought high spirits in with her strong work ethic everyday. We were disappointed to have lost her to another job – her passion ( to open her own restaurant). Our sympathy to you for such a sudden and unexpected loss of a high spirited woman. She will be deeply missed by those that loved her. May peace find you.

Marlene met me at Guardian, I worked over at Pet Valu before taking my maternity leave, she was the sweetest person to talk to there, she guessed I was pregnant before telling anybody, she asked me my due date, and that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I went to visit her on each of my breaks from work just to buy a $2 or $3 candy bar just to say hi. She would always talk about John and her kids as well as her sister, she loved them and brought joy to others with her stories. My son is now 3 months old and I feel horrible about not being able to bring him in beforehand. I miss her dearly and I know she’ll be watching over all of us and making sure we are all safe. Condolences to the family and just know she truly has a special place in my heart. I won’t ever be able to walk into guardian without thinking of her. I’m so sorry for your loss and I am here for you guys anytime you need

To Marlene’s children,, and John,, I am very saddened to read about Marlene’s passing. Some people you just assume are going to be here for a long long time,, and she was one of those. Marlene was always interested in hearing how others were doing,, and was always good for a laugh, right from her heart. She is going to be missed by so many,, but she gave so much of herself when she was here, that I am sure there is plenty of memories and good times that are going to be shared with the family, from her co-workers, friends,, customers,, etc that all enjoyed being around her. Hugs to the families, and to John,, it is always so hard to say our goodbyes to someone we loved and admired so much.
