    Carol, Bob & Family,
Sad to hear of Bob’s passing. Bob was a special person, very much respected by everyone that worked with him. I always enjoyed getting a call from Bob for Store problem help because, after the issues were resolved, it resulted in sharing our life, a family update conversation.
May memories of your special times shared together help ease the pain you are going through. My thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
    Love,
    Patti

    To Jeff and Family:

I was sorry to hear of Bob’s passing this past week. Many years back and for about 20 years, I had the distinct pleasure of dealing with Bob when I worked for the Coca-Cola Company and had meetings with many of the managers at A&P. Bob always stood out as a fine gentleman and a man of his word always. I wish the family Peace and wonderful memories to sustain you in the future. Truly a great man!

To The Gard Family- thought of you all yesterday learning you’ve lost your dear dad and knowing you were at the Byron Legion to Celebrate your dad’s life. My mom grew up in Byron… Glanworth was such a part of our families lives growing up- all of us playing ball and us kids roller skating on Friday nights at the Glanworth Hall and attending the teen dances over the years… Hanging out with Marcy and being at your place I recall your dad being so warm and smiley always. Then years later delivering produce for mom and dad to A&P seeing your dad again… My folks always spoke so highly of Bob. Sending you all love and light at this tough time. Take good care and hold close the wonderful memories you have. Sincerely Kari Ferguson and the entire extended family.

Sadden when I heard the news. I worked with Mr. Gard at A&P for many years he was more then a manager a dear friend. He treated people with respect and his leadership passed on to all of us. The memories of Mr. Gard will never fade or leave me. It’s sad to think of a few at this time but it makes me happy to have known him. He was far the best of the best ! We lost one of the good ones :( RIP. Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was very saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. He was an excellent manager who sincerely cared about his family, friends, staff and customers. Bob always has a warm smile to greet you and loved practical jokes. He was a great teacher of new staff especially those with litlle or no previous knowledge of the business.
Deep condolences to the family. Bob will be missed, but the memories of the good times you shared with him will live in your hearts forever.
God Bless. Dave Spry, VP Logistics & Distribution, Metro Ontario Inc.

Very sad news….many many good memories of Bob (Mr.Gard) he will be greatly missed by many. I had the pleasure of working for Mr Gard from the time I was 16 years old until 27. In fact my grandfather helped train Mr Gard when he was with the company just starting out. Mr Gard was always very kind to both my mother and grandmother when they would come in the store even years after my departure. I will always remember Sunday mornings when Bob would come back for “breakfast” with us in the back room.
    RIP Mr Gard
