    To Mark, my beautiful nephew:-
Did you ever realize just how big an impact you had on so many people’s lives? Did you know how much your hugs meant to us and how when you talked to someone you made them feel like they were the most important person in the room? You gave so many of us words of encouragement, support and strength to get through whatever it was we were going through at the time. I wish with all my heart that you could have used some of that for yourself, but you were so into giving to others what you couldn’t quite grasp for yourself. I and countless others, both family and friends will miss you terribly and your joy of giving and your childlike enthusiasm at family functions and sheer excitement and large persona at Christmas, especially during Jennifer’s unique games. I love you so much Mark. P.S. Say Hi to Bob and Grandma Hogan for me and give them one of your very special hugs!!!

I’ll alway remember mark as my oldest cousin who had the intimidating mafiozo accent. I’ll always remember him and Claudio highjacking the basement to watch racing while we played in the other room. He was loud and full of life and truly a funny guy.

I hope his soul is at peace while Uncle Bob is there to guide his way home.

Sending you all lots of love. We’ll all miss him xoxo

    To my nephew Mark.
I wonder Mark if you had any idea of just how many lives you touched in a positive way and how you lit up a room when you were in it. Did you know that when you talked to someone you made them feel like they were the most important person there, or that you gave the very best hugs? I just wish that you could have given yourself what you gave to so many others. Encouraging words, praise and strength. I love you very much and I will miss your beautiful big persona and your excitement and enthusiasm at family functions and enjoying Jennifer’s Christmas games. Find peace my beautiful nephew and give Bob and Grandma Hogan a hug for me!

    Mark,
I’m just reading through these comments and I can see truly how fiercely and boldly you loved everyone you cared for. Over the years we had gone through similar struggles I had confided in you and you took me under your wing like an older brother and kept making sure I was okay and that I would stay OK and stay well. I am so grateful for your love and reaching out when I needed it. I wish we could have come through it together. I will miss you greatly and know and will continue to watch out for us ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 love you forever cuz

Mark is my cousin. ( I have to say ‘is’).
Mark plays a huge part of the memories I have from living in Newmarket as a kid. I remember skipping all the way to auntie Cathy’s, because I was so excited to go see my cousin.
Over the years we kept in touch with Mark through the family letters, pictures and a couple family trips, after my family moved to Alberta. The visits though, they were the best! I remember whispering with my sister saying “I wonder if we could just stay and live with auntie Cathy, then we could always hang out with Mark!”.., lol
When I think of Mark I think of family. I think of the coolest family I’ve ever known. And when I think of home or back home, I’ll always think of Mark.

I hope wherever you are Mark, you got your girl, your smoking a big cigar and running the place.
    Peace Cuz

It was a pleasure to not only have worked with Mark but to have also been friends with him. I will always remember our walks as a group to have lunch on The Queensway then a walk back the other direction to Tims to pick up coffee (our usual a 1 1/2 hour lunches). Our many smoke breaks through out the work day, our trips down to the Lakeshore to rollerblade along the boardwalk, the scary but fun car rides we experienced in the legendary loud mustang GT and lets not forget our trip to watch the Portuguese bullfights (most memorable by far which I think Tanya will agree). It was never a dull moment when Mark was present, everyone was always guaranteed some great laughs and unforgettable moments now turned into everlasting memories . In addition to the fun times, Mark was also a caring, loving, sensitive guy with a big heart always ready and willing to help out anyone, especially his family and close friends. May you Rest In Peace Mark, look down from the heavens and see just how much you were really loved and cared about! My deepest condolences to all of the family and wish you all strength and peace during this extremely difficult time.

    Dear Mark,

I struggle to find words because I can’t believe you are gone. Our family gatherings will be so much quieter without your loud, outgoing personality. We will still laugh about you always saying “okay! Gotta go!” Or asking for a doggy bag. Christmas will be different without you feverishly scratching your favourite lottery tickets, or opening presents in excitement and making sure everyone loves the gifts you bought.

Being 12 years younger than you, I didn’t grow up with you at home everyday but I remember being so excited each time you came home for visits, I was so proud of my big brother, you made me feel safe.

My memories with you may be simple, but I will hold on to them. Watching TV with you, having chips and dip, watching Cops, or Judge Judy, listening to your ongoing commentary throughout the whole show.

I remember going on walks to the store, or bike rides to Fairy Lake. I remember driving with you in your cars as you drove way too fast for my comfort zone.

I will always remember how handsome you were, you always looked so well put together and smelled so good.

We last saw you during the summer at Tanya’s birthday party and we joked about cutting the cake. But what I remember and cherish the most, is the hug you gave me that day. It was so strong.

We may have had our disagreements or sibling fights, but you were always quick to forgive and put your arms around me to say you were just joking or tell me to stop being a “purple turtle”.

You are a great big brother, a great son and grandson, a great nephew, and we all won’t be the same without you.

  15. Jacob

    October 17, 2020 at 5:37 PM

    Mark man,
You were always the life of the party, you lit up every room you walked into and touched everyone around you. Every memory I have with you is beyond special, and the moments we spent together won’t be forgotten. You will always be dearly missed and things won’t be the same without you. We love you brother, and may you now rest easy.
    Love always man,
    Your brother in law,
    Jacob

    Zio,
You were one of the first and few positive male figures I had to look up to throughout my childhood. Your influence helped shape me into the person I am today. People call me “Gucci” just like you. Our family humour is your humour. You brought light and joy to everyone you loved, I’m going to try to be the same way too.

I remember feeling sick one night when mom wasn’t home and we lived together with mom and Devo on Maple Branch Path. I was probably about 8 years old. Devo and I always listened to you and respected your authority but especially so at that age – we never wanted to upset you. You lived in the basement and Devo and I knew that the basement was your space. That, paired with the fact that I had never been down to your basement before made me terrified me to go down there and knock on your door. When I eventually mustered the courage to knock on your door and tell you I wasn’t feeling so good, you brought me upstairs to take care of me and watch a movie with me in the living room. You made sure I was okay. You made sure I felt safe. You made sure I wasn’t alone and sick and scared without my mom. The love you exhibited toward me erased any shadow of doubt in my young mind. You never made me feel anything but loved, on that day and on every other day I spent with you.

I hope you always knew how much love I have for you. No past tense there because I will always love you. I’m glad I got the opportunity a couple months back to tell you that I love you and that I would never forget you.. I didn’t realize the gravity of that conversation we had until this week.

Thank you for everything. I’m so grateful that I had the privilege of knowing you and have the privilege of loving you.

I worked with Mark years ago and there was never a dull moment with him around. I will remember his impish grin, and the twinkle in his eyes when he would try to out do me in an office prank. He touched a lot of people in many different ways and I am sure that anyone who knew Mark, will not forget him. I myself have many fond memories and I feel blessed to have known him. My sincerest condolences to Mark’s entire family.

    To my Son,
I will miss so many things about you….your hugs, your laugh, you yelling “Ma” in a crowded store looking for me, your presence at all the holidays and birthdays, but above all, I will miss your kind ways and your ability to fill the room with laughter. I’ve loved you from the moment you were born and I will love you for the rest of my days. Until we meet again Mark, rest in peace. XOXO

Our deepest condolences too the entire Gallucci Family. It was impossible to be in Mark’s presence and not smile. His love was genuine and infectious, especially when he was around our niece and nephew. He was always kind and courteous whenever we met. He treated our kids as if they were blood family whenever they slept over at aunty Tanya’s. It was a pleasure being in his presence and we will cherish the memories he gave. Another kind sole has left early!

    Mark,

You were my big, older cousin and you always were sure to include me in everything. I looked up to you and I remember every time we saw each other you were sure to give me the STRONGEST handshake.

Remember that one time Uncle Tony asked us to help him move…only to find out that he had some of the heaviest furniture we had ever seen. We worked hard together and made sure to get the job done… just in time for the new homeowners showed up.

We had some great laughs Mark, Love you.

    Rest in Peace

Mark and I were hanging out at our dads house shortly after he moved in and I brought my big, slobbery puppy over while dad was at work. We had a time (it was impossible to not have a good time when Mark was around, as you know if you’re reading this) and Mark helped me wipe up dog goober the whole afternoon in the hopes of dad being none the wiser to a dog being in the house when he got home…I never did find out how that panned out…

Regardless, its little gestures like that, that remind you why God blessed you with with siblings. No matter how silly, they always have your back. Mark and I were 16 years apart in age. We joked that our parents were lucky we were born a generation apart because we would have raised too much hell to handle if we were closer in age haha. I would have done anything for him. Just as he would have done anything for his family. If there’s one thing he loved it was his family. If only love was enough to keep you here.. for one more Christmas, one more CNE, one more birthday…for one more day.

I’ll miss you always. I’ll love you forever. Xoxo, your littlest sis <3

My condolences to the entire family and friends. Mark and I were two peas in a pod for many years in High School and beyond. We still chatted often but never found the time to connect in person over the past Ten years. We were friends, we spent endless hours together at each others homes. I would really love to come see you Mrs Gallucci and give you a hug…his last message to me about two months ago will be treasured forever.

With love from the Grande Family,
