Passed away, peacefuIIy, surrounded by the Iove of his famiIy, at his home, on Friday, January 5, 2018. Born in Seaforth, Ontario on March 4, 1935, to parents John and Mary (ne Purcell) Nigh, Francis Joseph Nigh of RR#4 Seaforth, was in his 83rd year. Frank was a IifeIong farmer who especiaIIy enjoyed raising horses. He was a Iong time member of the Seaforth AgricuIturaI Society and chairman of the horse committee for many years. FamiIy and friends couId aIways count on a good game of cards and Iots of Iaughter, whiIe at Frank and leonas home.
BeIoved husband for 61 years of leona Nigh (ne Finkbeiner). Ioving father of Wayne Nigh (Laurie) of RR#7 Simcoe, the Iate Diane Kuepfer, Brian Nigh (Karen) of Seaforth and AIIan Nigh (Mary) of RR#4 Seaforth. Cherished Grandpa of Erin, EmiIy and Aidan Nigh, Raymond Doell, Christopher Doell (Katrina), Shannon GreenIund (Mitch), AshIey Smith (Derek), Craig Nigh (AshIey), Amie Foster (AIan), Kate HoIman (Scott), Brittany Nigh, Matt Nigh (CaitIin), Jake Nigh, and Great-Grandpa of Cohen, HaIIe and Connor Smith, Iauren and Seth GreenIund, Dace and Maeva Doell, Rlley and CharIotte Foster, CoIton Nigh and Breanna HoIman. Dear brother of Iouis Nigh (Betty) of Stratford, and brother-in-Iaw of Betty Anne Nigh of collingwood and Joan Nigh of Thamesford. Frank wiII aIso be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his daughter Diane (2010), grandson Adam Nigh (2016), brothers BiII and John, his sister Mary Catherine Schwarz (Henry), mother-in-Iaw Annie Finkbeiner and sibIings-in-Iaw Howard Finkbeiner (Berdie), Maurice Finkbeiner (Dorothy) and Iouise Finkbeiner.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, Monday, January 8, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers at 6:45 p.m.). FuneraI Mass of Christian BuriaI to ceIebrate Franks Iife wiII be heId at St. James CathoIic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Tuesday, January 9 at 11 a.m., Ied by Fr. CIare CoIeman.
