Peacefully, with his family by his side, at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Friday, April 23, 2010, of Denfield, in his 53rd year. Beloved husband of Rina (Broeders) VandenHeuvel. Beloved father of Jason, Nathaniel and Nicolette all at home. Dear son of Johanna (Brugmans) VandenHeuvel of Denfield and the late Antonius (Tony) VandenHeuvel (2003). Dear son-in-law of Johanna (Broeders) and Roger Gemus. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gary and Nathalie VandenHeuvel of London, Marian and Lance Volkman and Janet and Rick Luder all of British Columbia, Nancy and David Broumpton of Denver, Colorado, Tony and Lisa VandenHeuvel of Denfield and Angela and Michel Houle of Woodstock; John and Louise Broeders of Ilderton. Also missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Michael (1998) and Rina’s fathers Nicolaas Broeders (1965) and Adrianus Broeders (1993).
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Lucan on Wednesday, April 28th at 11 AM with Father Ray Lawhead presiding. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Donations to Nicolette’s Relay for Life team, raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society, or the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.
Prayers will be said in the funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM.
