To the Forrester family: Very sorry to hear Bob had passed away . My condolences to the family at this difficult time. Bob worked for my Dad in the cement business for a short time before opening the body shop. He was one of the few guys who could push a full wheel barrel of cement up a steep ramp and dump it the top of a wall. A good man.

Our condolences to the Forrester family and Angela. We will always remember the fun times we had, especially the pig roasts. Bob always had a twinkle in his eyes and fun loving smile. We will also remember when our dad bought a white husky from Bob, we named the dog Bobby after Bob. The dog protected us when we lived alone on the farm.

I’ve been thinking of Bob a lot the last few days. Our family is really going to miss him. As a boy the only person you look up to more than your own father is the man he looks up to. Dad always held Bob in the highest regard and he lived up to that in every way for me. Strongest man I’ve ever known, but kind and funny too. So many of my memories of the cottage from childhood involve Bob. A lot of his fishing gear ended up on the bottom of the harbour thanks to me. Boy did he love to tell the big onion story, must’ve heard it a hundred times and it always made me smile. I remember the first time I arm wrestled Bob up at the cottage, I think I was fourteen and shaking like a leaf. He beat me of course but managed to do it in a way that made me feel strong. He was a great man and the cottage won’t be the same without him.

So many fun memories of Bob. Florida trips, campfires at the cottage, fishing on the Sandpiper. I feel so lucky to have had a lifelong friendship with Bob. He will be missed so much by Brenda and I. Bob and Brenda Morrissey.

    January 6, 2021 at 12:22 PM

    To all our oldest Friends,
It’s been heartbreaking to hear about Bob’s passing. I for one felt that Bob was invincible with his strong structure and oh so hard tummy that I marvelled at as a kid. There are WAY too many memories to list but a few are the endless times at the cottage, God I loved it there. Sleeping (if we even did sleep) in the guest house with Randy, Darren, Laurie and Tanya. Watching my dad on water ski’s at the edge of the dock waiting for Bob to “gun it” just to see dad fall flat on his face all the while hearing Bob’s laugh all the way from the boat. The endless snowmobile tours all together and the up all night gatherings. Memories at the farm include, swimming, tour bus drives, hanging out in the shop, and not understanding how or why the doors were always left open at the house lol. Life was so simple and refreshing at the Forrester’s and I was so happy to be there so often growing up. On behalf of myself, mom, dad, Randy, Darren and our families, we send our deepest sympathy to you all. We will miss you Bob 💗 Lisa

Jeff and Lorraine, Tanya and Wayne, Jim and Tammy and all of the family… and Angela…
I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Bob was a great guy, and we always looked forward to visiting his house, because it was always fun. We used to wait for him to buzz our farm with his airplane, and sometimes he would land in the field. And all the skidoo rides, and boat rides and trips in his motor homes. Lots of great memories. And don’t forget the cottage. I caught my biggest fish ever with Uncle Bob, and learned to water ski.
If I could, I would come and hug all of you, but we can’t in these weird times. Just know that I am thinking of all of you, and my heart is breaking for all of you. He will surely be missed, but I hope he is saying hello to all of the ones that have gone before him. Love you all.

My heart to all of you ~ Jeff, Lorraine, Tanya, Wayne, Jackie, Barb, Larry, Vesta, Jim, and to all of your families in this emotional time.
Bob was larger than life to me when I was a child—a super hero basically—flying in the air, driving on water, hovering on land. I remember thinking that he might be Santa because he had all the ‘toys’, gentle eyes, and the most huggable belly..and his own Pepsi machine. He would always be sure to drive fast enough to give you a ‘butterflies’ thrill on 40 Hills Rd. He was a fire igniting endless adventures shared by my family with yours, and the others of this tight group for many years.
I’m deeply grateful to have been close to Bob in those years and for his constant friendship to my Dad in decades since.
My deep condolences in his honor to all of you. And a peace prayer to his free spirit today. With love, Margo
