Suddenly, but peacefully at his home, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 of Seaforth and formerly of London at the age of 77. Cherished husband of Elaine (McClure) Floyd for over 49 years. Dear father of Dean Floyd of London and Michael Floyd (Kim) of Nova Scotia. Proud grandfather of Sydney, Mason, Jordan, Dallas; Kyle (Carissa), Ryan, Nathan (Michelle), Bradyn and great-grandfather of 7. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sydney Floyd (Jeanine Buss), Garry McClure, Clair McClure, Shirley Robinson (Dick), Doris Clark (Murray), and Doug McClure. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mabel (Russel) and Sydney Floyd, in-laws Sam and Mary McClure, and daughter-in-law Donna Floyd.
Jim owned and operated CJ’s Auto Service in Seaforth, drove the local school bus for many years, and was a devoted member of the Seaforth Agricultural Society.
A come-and-go Celebration of Life will be held at the Seaforth Agricultural Society, 140 Duke St, Seaforth on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1-3 PM. Words of Remembrance will be held at 2 PM. Cremation has taken place and a spring interment will be held at the Maitland Bank Cemetery, Seaforth. Haskett Funeral Home, SEAFORTH entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Life changes in an instance. Floyd put a smile on many faces with his witty ways. Elaine and family our hearts open to all of you with caring thoughts in mind. We were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of my brother / brother-in-law Jim. We are away and didn’t know of some of the issues he was having prior to his sudden death. We trust the family will support Elaine in all ways she may need as we don’t get back to Canada until after the funeral.
