With deep sadness after a brief but tough battle with cancer, Rick passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Karen (Kernick) for 43 years. Cherished father of Derek (Lesley) and Robyn (Derek) Ross all of Calgary. Beloved papa of Eli, Asher, and Paydon Ross. Dear son-in-law of Chas and Connie Kernick. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Duncan (Peggy), Debbie (Jim Wylie), Dwight (Roberta), Darcy Etherington, Kelly (Martin) Esquimaux, and John (Lisa) Kernick. He will be missed by several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and neighbours. Forever missed by his 4 legged friend Betty. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Daisy (Hooper) Etherington.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment Exeter Cemetery. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
