Dear father of Rob Essery and Mary Peterson of Centralia, and Ruth Ann and Matt Pickett of Wiarton. Dear grandfather of Jason, Alex, Jonathan, and Daniel. Predeceased by his sisters Doris Lightfoot, and Marjorie Rowe, and brother Jack Essery. Bill always kept his property at Spruce Grove immaculate.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Tuesday evening 7-9 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 11 AM with Pastor Paul Vollick officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to Centralia United Church or South Huron Hospital Foundation – Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.

Bill was a wonderful neighbour! He was quiet, and understanding, concerned for his land, careful of the environment, and extremely neat and tidy. He kept his property and possessions immaculate, a hard thing to do when you live on a farm. But Bill managed to do it. Spruce Grove always looked like it was ready for a party. We have missed him cutting the grass this spring on a regular basis. We were very blessed to have known him as a friend, a neighbour, a son, husband, father and grandfather, a helper in the church, a pilot, and one who preserved the land.
