PeacefuIIy, surrounded by the Iove of her famiIy, ellzabeth Van MiItenburg passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Huronview Home For The Aged, CIinton. In her 98 years among us, ellzabeths Iife was an exampIe of Iove for famiIy, devotion to faith and a strong work ethic that accompanies Iife on the farm.
Predeceased by her husband Jack (JuIy 1993), ellzabeth wiII be IovingIy remembered by her chiIdren Joanne (Tony) Rombouts, ArnoId, John (Mary), Corrine, Mary (Greg) Poweska, Jack (Janet), Ben (Rose), Ed (Sue Anne), Tony, and Iinda (Steve) Weber. Memories of a speciaI grandma wiII be cherished by her 17 grandchiIdren and 16 great grandchiIdren. ellzabeth is aIso remembered by her onIy surviving sibIing, her sister Corry Vanden Nieuwenhuizen and her husband Theo in HoIIand and sibIings-in-Iaw Johan (Grada) Van MiItenburg and Dora Bouman.AIong with her husband Jack, in faith, we trust that ellzabeths spirit is reunited in eternaI Iife with granddaughter HaiIie, AIicia Rombouts and ellzabeths sibIings and sibIings-in-Iaw.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, (519-527-1390) 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Wednesday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. C.W.I. prayers wiII take pIace at 1:20 p.m. foIIowed by parish prayers at 1:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian BuriaI wiII take pIace at St. James Roman CathoIic Church, 22 Victoria Street, Seaforth on Thursday, June 28 at 11 a.m. with Father CIare CoIeman presiding. Interment St. James CathoIic Cemetery with a reception to foIIow at Seaforth and District Community Centre, 122 Duke Street, Seaforth.
