After a courageous battle with cancer, Janet Marie Durand passed away on July 27, 2021 at the age of 67, in the comfort of her home. Janet’s passion for family and friends will be forever missed by those that surrounded her. Janet will be cherished always by her loving husband Stephen and their children Darrin and Jodi, Stephanie and Peter, Mark and Angela, and Brent and Sarah. Fondly remembered by her pride and joy Taylor and Luke; Mallory (Aaron), Will, Erica and Ava; Devon and Tyson; Clara, Hayden and Connor. Greatly missed by her mother Lucille Masse. In faith we trust that she will be reunited in eternal life with her son Eric (1983), father Clare Masse (2003) and brother Rick Masse (2020) (Karen), brother in-law Denis Durand (1998) (Roseanne) and David Durand (2012) (Marilyn) and father-in-law and mother-in-law Marie (1989) and Philip (2009) Durand. Janet was blessed to have the compassion and support of her sisters and best friends Marlene (Lennis), Elaine (Donat), Brenda (Bill) and Lori (Jim). She will also be greatly missed by her brothers Gerard (Henrica), Mike (Wendy), Phil (Connie), and Kevin (Jeanette). As well as her close in-laws Dan and Michelle Durand and many nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 31st at 10:30AM. A casual come and go celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Saturday, July 31st from 1 PM to 4 PM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP to attend the celebration. Haskett Funeral Home, ZURICH entrusted with arrangements.

Her love and pride of her entire family was so evident in the way she talked about each and every one of you. She cherished her family times. There was always a welcome hug when we showed and an offer of a refreshment. So many giggles on our many shopping trips and get together for card games etc..
