    Heather;
    Our sincerest sympathies to you and the boys at this sad time. It seems so unfair to lose someone so young and full of life. I&&single&&ve often asked myself, especially over the past 6 months, why God takes home those who have so much life left to live. The only answer I keep coming back to is that there are many things we are not meant to understand this side of Heaven. Until we all reach our final Home, hold the memories and your sweet boys near and dear.
    Thinking of you and your boys.

    I am sorry to read about the passing of your love one. I send my sincere condolences to the family and friends. When the enemy death strikes our grief can be great. It is at times like this that we need comfort and support whether we are acquainted or not. May you rely on the Father of tender mercies, the God of all Comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulations. Yes, Our Heavenly Father has promised to sustain you, because He cares. You also have many wonderful memories to cherish. Hold on to the memories that you have, for all has not been forgotten. Almighty God has promised in the near future to bring about the ‘resurrection’. Yes, your dearly beloved one will not be forgotten by you or our Heavenly Father, Jehovah. (Acts 24:15 Psalm 37: 29). May the scriptures at Revelation 21: 1-5 prove to be a source of great comfort for you now and in the days to come. Once again, you have my sincere condolences.

    June 25, 2009 at 12:00 PM

    Dearest Heather, Craig and Stuart,

    Life holds no rhyme or reason when it deals our lives such a devastating blow as the one you&&single&&ve been dealt, and our hearts ache for you.

    We have no idea why Doug was called home to heaven so young, and far too soon, but God is always within our reach for the comfort and solace we need. Doug was a wonderful husband, sweetheart, friend and companion to you. He was a loving, dedicated Dad and buddy to Craig and Stu. Doug was a patient mentor, friend and counselor to many. He left his mark, not only on this community, but on our hearts where he will be fondly remembered always.

    Cuddle the boys close and let the abundance of cherished memories surround, soothe, and ease the ache in your hearts. Take some time away with Craig and Stu to celebrate Doug&&single&&s life, love and laughter. And when the pain seems too much to bear, remember that our heavenly Father and Doug are only a prayer and a whisper away.

    Our heartfelt prayers and love are with you and the boys, and extend to the many friends and relatives that loved Doug and will miss him deeply.

    God Bless,

    Shari & Chantell Schadler

    Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as
    the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be
    troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    I don&&single&&t know if you remember me Heather but I do remember you. My deepest condolences to you and your children in this sad and hard time. I met you at the emergency room in Seaforth and at the grocery store and at Pizza Train. You give the community your all in everything you do at work. You are so compassionate, caring and upmost your so optimist. You left an lasting impression on Don and myself that night at Emerg. That is all he talked about on the way home that night. He even had me call your office the next day when we lived in hope that we were getting married and that we needed a doctor in this community and wanted the same doctor as each other. Unfortunately your office was full but you left an lasting impression on us. Now is the time for the community to give back to you in your time of need. If there is ever a time to be weak this is the time to be it and it is totally acceptable. If there is anything you need don&&single&&t hesistate to ask me or anyone in the community for help. Give yourself permission and time to grieve. Take it one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time. Just take it step by step and it will get easier. Again my deepest condolences to your and your children in this hard time. You are in my thoughts and prayers for the next few weeks and even months.

    Words cannot express our deep felt sympathy for you and your family at this time. We loved Doug very much and will always remember his smiling, friendly face. Our son Don and Doug were best of friends growing up. He often came on camping trips with us and we enjoyed his great sense of humor. Doug was also a very kind and sensitive person. He will always be remembered in our prayers.

    Doug & I met the 1st week in Grade 2 at Glenwood School..One of the 1st days of school its pouring rain & students were told
    to stay &&single&&on the pavement&&single&&, so mud doesnt get brought into the school..Well, Doug & I both had on New Rubber Boots that we felt we needed to &&single&&tryout&&single&&. We then marched around the muddy baseball diamond then marched into the school, dragging in mud with us..Our Teacher made us stand in the hall with our noses to the wall while we wait for the Principal..The Principal comes & tells us to go to his office while he talks to our teacher..Instead of going to the end of the hall & turn left into the office, we turn right & Hide behind the door in the stock room..Now we are really in trouble as the Principal found us..We are now going to get punished, Hit with a strap on the hands..The Female Vice-Principal is the one who is to give us the Strap, however Doug pulled his hand away to avoid the hit and the Vice-Principal missed, hit her own leg & ripped her nylons…Doug then had to get a few extra wacks for his misdeed & I only got 1…Imagine this happening the 1st time we meet, I knew then Doug would be alot of fun to hangout with..
