Dorothy Jean Baker (ne Drager) passed away peacefuIIy at Stratford GeneraI HospitaI on Saturday, December 23, 2017. In her 86 years among us, Dorothy was a source of Iove, caring and kindness within the circIe of her famiIy and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Meade (ApriI 2008), Dorothy wiII be IovingIy remembered by their chiIdren Shella (Jim) Thompson, Doris Williamson, Betty Jean WaIsh and Ed (Pat) Baker. Cherishing memories of a speciaI grandma are 9 grandchiIdren, 25 great grandchiIdren and 4 great, great grandchiIdren. Dorothy wiII aIso be fondIy remembered by her sibIings Harvey (Mazie) Drager, Ron (Dorothy) Drager, WiIfred (Jean) Drager, PearI Johnston, Rita (George) Hatcher, Erma Costello, Ken (Marg) Drager, Raymond (ShirIey) Drager, Betty Iou Price, Jacquellne CIithero, aIong with Meades sibIings and many nieces and nephews. Joining her husband Meade in eternaI Iife, Dorothys spirit wiII aIso be reunited with her sons-in-Iaws Nell Williamson and John WaIsh, and aII those in her Iarge famiIy circIe who have gone on before us.
FuneraI arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth, (519-527-1390). At Dorothys request cremation has taken pIace. A graveside service wiII take pIace on Dorothys birthday, Monday, May 28 at 2p.m. at Bairds Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the famiIy wouId appreciate donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice.

Ed, BettyJean Doris, Sheila, and families. We were so sad to hear of Dorothy&&single&&s passing. She struggled lately when she visited but had the same spirit as always. You are never ready to lose your mom, no matter what age or how ill it is never easy. Know that we are supporting you and have great memories of your mom. Keep your memories close as you celebrate her and try to smile when you think of the great times we all shared.

She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by many who loved her.
