Donna June (Parkinson) Heather

Peacefully at St. Marys Memorial Hospital with family at her side, passed away on March 19, 2010.  Adored wife of William (Bill) Heather of Exeter. Loving mother of Kim and Ronald Willems of Germany, Kevin and Laurie Heather of Calgary, Karl Heather of Calgary and Karen Heather of Exeter. Cherished grandmother of Hannah; Kelsey, Jenna and Scott; Cody; and Erika, Taylor and Rachael. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Garry and Jane Parkinson of St. Marys and Helen Bettger of Kitchener. Admired step-daughter of Spence Read of St. Marys. Also proudly remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Ray Parkinson and Edythe (Parkinson) Read and her brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Lynda Parkinson. Donna was an amazing inspiration to her entire family battling her cancer with incredible spirit and determination.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Monday evening 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at 11 AM with Father Ray Lawhead officiating. Interment  Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated by the family.

    Bill and family – So sorry to hear of Donna’s death. We understand she was ill for some time, but will be at peace now in heaven. Donna was a lovely, gracious, warm and carng lady whom you will miss dearly. Hopefully you will be comforted with all the wonderful memeories of your dear wife and mother.     As you know i’m unable to be with you in person but my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
    Donna fought a long and hard battle and never once did I hear her complain. Bill you did a wonderful job of looking after her needs ,nobody could have done more.I am so thankful you were able to care for her for so long.
    I have wonderful memories of all the time Donna and I spent to-gether.

    Bill & family, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of a very special person (Donna) in your life. She was always glad to see people and you share alot of good memories and good times which will stay with you and your family. We are thinking of you at this time as one never knows what God has in his plans for us.
    She will now be at rest in a beautiful heaven surround with angels which she will be one of them.

    Uncle Bill, Kim, Karen, Kevin, Karl and families:
    I was very sad to hear of aunt Donna’s passing, she was a wonderful person who put others before herself, she always had a smile and hug for us. She was very kind and helpful to us caring for mom and dad, visiting and helping us deal with the situation. She will be missed by all but is at peace now and has lots of angels waiting for her. Ours prayers are with you.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
