Suddenly at LHSC – University Hospital, London, on Thursday, October 6, 2022 of Lucan in his 76th year. Loving husband to Sandra (Watson) Dewan for over 48 years. Proud father of Cheri and James Armitage of Arva and Ryan Dewan of Lucan. Cherished grandpa of Kaden, Justin, Addison; and Wyatt. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jo-Anne and Drew MacGregor of Lucan, Catherine and Jim Hollands of Hanover, Jessie Paylor, Adele and Doug Ray, and Ralph and Dianne Watson all of Durham. Tom will be missed by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary (Harrigan) Dewan, brother Leo Dewan, and in-laws Harry and Eileen Watson. Tom was proud to have worked for Ellis Don Construction for over 40 years.
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, LUCAN on Tuesday, October 11th from 11 AM-12:30 PM where the funeral service will be held at 1 PM (registration not required). Cremation with interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Lucan.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the LHSF – London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Every once in a while someone comes alongside you for a day or a time or a season, that makes an impactful impression on you, on “how-it-should-be-done”. Tom was an excellent leader at EllisDon. Tom would always take on more responsibility than was expected of him, and produce excellent results, and always ahead of schedule. Young apprentices training-up under Tom’s tutelage would become excellent carpenters. Tom’s sense-of-duty, his loyalty, and his passion for excellence all contributed to the culture that exist today at EllisDon . Tom was a first-round draft choice for EllisDon, and over his career he was responsible for delivering championship results. It was an honor and a privileged to work alongside Tom !
