DENOMME: Brian Leonard of Belle River, formerly of Dashwood

Passed away at Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan Campus on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 59. Cherished husband of Cheryl (MacDonald) Denomme for over 30 years. Proud dad of Kurtis Denomme & Alysha Kipfer of Hensall, and Morgan Denomme & Ryan Hoffman of Brucefield. Adored grampa of Axel Denomme and his fur grandbabies Cash, Fin, and Rosie. Beloved son of Ruth (Restemayer) and Alphonse “Whitey” Denomme and son-in-law of Patricia Wood. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Wayne Denomme of Port Glasgow, Laura MacDonald of Australia, and Donald Dolmage of Clinton.

Brian was an avid fisherman throughout his life and was a long-standing member of Muskies Canada Belle River Chapter. In his early years, he was a baseball player and has always enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends and family. He was the second-generation owner of the family construction business and was so proud to pass it on to his son Kurtis. Brian loved to travel, especially to Florida with Disney World being his favourite place on earth. Above all, he cherished each moment spent with his family and loved to be wherever they were. He was loved and will always be remembered by all who knew him.

Brian’s memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 148 Frederick Street, DASHWOOD on Tuesday, June 4th at 11 AM.

A come and go celebration of his life will follow at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Tuesday, June 4th from 2 – 5 PM. Cremation has taken place.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Our hearts are very heavy hearing this news. I reached out to Brian when he retired and was moving to Belle River. He replied to me right away saying that he would always remember his backyard family. So many wonderful memories with the boys – memories that I will always treasure. Memories that make me smile.
Brian upheld his Dad’s work ethic with love and compassion. He followed those footsteps with pride.
Words of comfort are so hard to find but please know that in this community there are many, many prayers being said for your entire family as you navigate through the days ahead.
Hugs to all,
