Passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Lionel Cyr for 67 years. Cherished mother of Carol and Mike Janyu, Gerard and Jeanne Cyr, Dianne and Bruce McGinnes, and Peter and Lisa Cyr. Adored grandmother of Jennifer (Phil), Jill (Chirs); Brandon, Aaron; Michelle (Cole), Katie, Derek, Tania (Tim); Davin, Faith, and Avery and great-grandmother of Danielle, Jack, Anna, Madison, Abigail, Nash, Lakota, Luke, Trevor, and Trent. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and the extended Cyr and Durand families. Predeceased by her 4 brothers, her sister, and her parents Maurice and Gertrude (Ducharme) Durand.
Bernadette’s love for her husband, her children, and her entire family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She and Lionel led a perfect example of a long lasting, loving marriage. Bernadette devoted her life to her family and the farm. Her love of singing and her special spaghetti sauce will always be remembered.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street North, ZURICH on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. Registration is appreciated. Please click “Register Now” below, to register.
Bernadette’s Funeral Mass will be held the following day at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 22 Mary Street, ZURICH on Thursday at 11 AM with Father Tony Laforet presiding. Cremation to follow.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society Huron Perth would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
