Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Cunningham (2016). Proud mom of Ed and Karen Cunningham of Ingersoll, Maryhelen and Bryan Cowing of Ridgetown, Cathy and John Lapadat of Guelph, Joyce Maver of St. Marys, Wayne and Colleen Cunningham of Corunna, Jim and Tammy Anson of Zurich, Dan Anson of Centralia, Les and Kate Cunningham of Exeter, and Allan and Heather Cunningham of Lucan. Adored grandma of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Sheila Bachmeier of Windsor, Sharon Wright (Gord) of Lucknow, Linda Armstrong (Henry) of Woodslee, Jean Anson of Wingham, Gloria Anson of Chatham. Fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Candi Cunningham, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Myrtle Anson, daughters Diane Wilson and Lucy Averil, her son Donald Cunningham, brothers Edward and George “Wally”, sisters Delite Mew and Marjorie Dorion, brothers-in-law Norman Bachmeier and Clarence Cunningham, and sister-in-law Slyvia Bell.
Rose was an avid gardener and always prided herself on having beautiful flower beds. She loved to create decorative ornaments to go in the garden and would often give her creations out to her loved ones. Rose was never one to sit around, she always liked to be doing something and keep busy.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM, where Rose’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 11 AM with Pastor Steve Greene officiating. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

What a loss of a vibrant woman. Rose was one very hard working, tough lady. They dont make them like her anymore. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this hard time.
My condolences to sll family members. Rose will be deeply missed and truly remembered. We spent many hours together in the kitchen at Trivitt Memorial Church, as well as sharing plants and gardening tips over the years. She fought a tough fight right to the end. ‘Rest in peace Rose.’
