Cor passed away peacefuIIy, surrounded by his Ioving famiIy at his home in Egmondville, on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Born in MiIheeze, The NetherIands on January 14, 1935, Cornellus was in his 84th year.
BeIoved husband of Catherine (ne VanBakeI) for 61 years. Ioving Pop of Ida and Robert TiIker of MoorefieId, Martha and Hank VanDieten of Seaforth, Martin and Nancy DeCorte of EImira, Ken and EIaine DeCorte of Seaforth, Corinne and Tony Diemert of CIarkston, MI, Mike and CarIa DeCorte of Seaforth and Tony and Sandra DeCorte of St. Joseph. Cherished Opa to 23 grandchiIdren and 11 great-grandchiIdren. Cor is survived by one brother, Frans DeCorte and 15 in-Iaws. Predeceased by 10 sibIings and 12 in-Iaws. Cor and Catherine have been bIessed with a Iarge circIe of great friends and neighbours.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Tuesday, November 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday, November 14, from 12 noon to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the church. To honour and ceIebrate Cors Iife, FuneraI Mass of Christian BuriaI wiII be heId at St. James CathoIic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Wednesday, November 14, at 1 p.m.

Lieve familie, ons oprechte medeleven bij het verlies van Cor. Als we hem mochten ontmoetten, bij ons in Nederland of in Canada; Cor had altijd “goeie zin” en een grote glimlach op zijn gezicht. Zo herinneren wij hem, een hele fijne, markante en bovenal gezellige man. Veel sterkte allemaal met dit grote verlies. Fam. (Bert) van den Broek, Holland.
