We rode our bikes and met up at the Hillsgreen General store. We joked around and had a lot of fun, and it never ended. We hunted coyotes, fished the Varna river, snowmobiled, played cards at the shack, and toured every road in Huron and Perth county. Jim always helped me especially when a tornado destroyed the farm. He and Bill were there every day for months. Jim was so well known, wherever you went people knew Jim. Jim enjoyed a good prank, a laugh, a situation, he was so much fun to be around. Summer afternoons were spent crop touring with some cold beer and the tours were always educational for me. As our kids and grandkids got into hockey we didn’t see so much of each other, but always picked up right where we left off. I have wonderful memories of Jim and I will miss seeing him out on his John Deere lawnmower, or at a hockey game. To Jim’a family, I am so sorry for your loss and send you all our best wishes. Like another poster said Jim was a legend on the Parr Line.
