COLEMAN: John Oliver (Jack) of Bayfield
On Wednesday, April 29, 2009, John Oliver “Jack” Coleman, of Bayfield passed away in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Joyce (Bell) Armstrong of Bayfield and the late Eleanor Prang (2002). Beloved father of Michael Coleman and Jill Seman of San Francisco, Sandra Coleman and Dale Stephenson of R.R. 1 Arva and Janet and Brad Bettles of R.R. 2 Bayfield. Loving grandfather of Alex and Mary Coleman, Mark and Jason Stephenson and Nicole and Meagan Bettles. Beloved step father of Julia Armstrong of Toronto, Jill Armstrong and Robert Scott of Stratford and Dean and Kim Armstrong of R.R. 1 Zurich. Beloved stepgrandfather of Simon Ruby, Morgan and Brooke Armstrong. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gordon and Lois Coleman of Walkerton, George and Liz Coleman of Peterborough, Allan and Barbara Prang of Brantford and Edward and Carol Prang of Zurich. Predeceased by his parents Anson and Fern (Taylor) Coleman, brother Gerald Coleman and brother-in-law Robert Prang. Jack spent over 20 years in local politics, was Reeve of Stanley Township for many years and Warden of Huron County in 1998.
Visitation in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. Andrew’s United Church, Bayfield, on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. Visitation 1 hr prior to service. Rev Charles Love officiating. Interment Bayfield Cemetery followed by time together in Stanley Complex, Varna. A Masonic service under the auspices of Huron Lodge AF & AM #224 will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in recognition of Jack’s valiant fight against cancer.

    Very sorry to hear about Jack. Helen and I first met Jack at an Ontario P.C. event. We have always appreciated his support and over the years became good friends. We will not be at the funeral, Helen’s father also passed away this week and the funeral is in Mt. Forest at the same time.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
