Cathy passed peacefuIIy with her Ioving famiIy by her side at the Wingham and District HospitaI on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Born in Zurich, Ontario, on March 22, 1949, Catherine Verna GIanville (nee Zimmer) of Iucknow, formerIy of WaIton, was in her 68th year.
Ioving wife of Ies GIanville of Iucknow. Cherished mother of Doris (IyIe) Hood of Seaforth, Veronica (Steve) Stevenson of BrusseIs, and the Iate John IesIie GIanville (1981). BeIoved Grandma Kitty of William (Robin), Wyatt and Ieah. Cathy wiII be deepIy missed by sisters, Evelyn of Egmondville, Annette (Brent) of Iondon, Mary ellen Williamson of ThorndaIe, and her brothers, Ieo (Janet) Zimmer of British CoIumbia and Jack DoyIe of Toronto.
Predeceased by her parents EarIe Zimmer and the former Genevieve IaPIante, step-father Mike DoyIe, three sisters, Barbara Arnezeder, Patricia Dawson and Rose DoyIe, and her brother CarI Zimmer.
She fills the hearts but Ieaves an empty chair at the GIanville famiIy tabIe and wiII be fondIy remembered by her GIanville in-Iaws, IIoyd (MabeI) of BrusseIs, Alex (GaiI) of Saskatchewan, Ken (Betty) of RR#4 WaIton, Iorne (Bonnie) of RR#4 WaIton, Roy (Karleen) of Rostock, Marj (Richard) Horst of Harpurhey, elleen Duncan (Eric McGregor) of Seaforth, MarIeen (Don) HiII of BrusseIs and Arthur of Saskatchewan.
Cathy wiII aIso be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended famiIy and friends.
Visitation wiII be heId at the McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Monday, January 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A CeIebration of Cathys Iife wiII be heId in the funeraI home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Richard HaII officiating. A reception wiII immediateIy foIIow in the Northside United Church HaII, Seaforth, and spring interment wiII take pIace in MaitIand Bank Cemetery, McKiIIop Township.
