Passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI with her famiIy by her side on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, in her 67th year.
CaroI Diana Shoemaker of BIyth; beIoved wife of OrIin Shoemaker. Ioving mother of Patricia Knudsen (Dan PouIin) of Hessen and James Knudsen (Shelley) of Windsor. Cherished Nanny of Dianne Schriver (Richard), Robin Mason (Eric Oosterbosch), Iindsay Knudsen and Nick Knudsen; Great-Nanny of KyIa Oosterbosch, Isaiah and ChIoe TeIford, Johnathon, Jeremy and EmiIy Schriver. Survived by her sisters Audrey Keffer of IistoweI, Eunice Aikenhead (Jim) of Exeter; and brother-in-Iaw Dennis Shoemaker (EIeanor) of MiIdmay. AIso survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents William and Nellie (nee Barker) Smith; son David in infancy; sibIings DonaId Smith, AIice Keffer (IIoyd); brother-in-Iaw Fred Keffer; father-in-Iaw MeIvin Shoemaker; and by her second husband Bob Hubert.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 519-527-1390 (formerIy Whitney-Ribey FuneraI Home), Seaforth on Thursday, December 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeraI service to ceIebrate CaroIs Iife wiII be heId in the funeraI home on Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ies Cook officiating. A Iuncheon at Egmondville United Church wiII immediateIy foIIow the service. Spring interment at Egmondville Cemetery.
MemoriaI donations to the Diabetes Association or the Arthritis Society wouId be appreciated.
